Question  Looking for design-advice

Hey guys!

I'm working on a map with the story based quite similar on the main story.
In the intro you see yourself walking to the startarea like in the first official map.
You wake up in a mansion and only remember small parts of the past.

I'll make an outsidearea where you can go into one or two different buildings.
Now here's my question:

I made a "church-like" room directly in the mansion. Does this fit together?
Or should i make the "church" as an extra building?
I also thought of making a tunnel to this building.

Door to the room:

The room:

I just started making the room, so don't expect too much.

If all those SpotLights cast shadows, your map is going to be quite laggy..

Aside from some errors like how you built the stairs right into the floor and that welder doesn't really make sense there.. just use a mansion doorway. You may have to adjust the door a bit, but I don't really see no problem as long as you get that stone wall out of the room.

Thanks for the constructive criticism.

The SpotLights don't cast shadows.
I made a welder, because otherwise you open the door and theres directly a stair.
I'll probably just make an extra map for this building. With the default mansion wall, it looks very odd.

Seems to be quite a change in building material/styles, maybe a corridor could ease the transition?

Im thinking it shouldnt be a seperate building, but instead a seperate wing. And based on the architecture, i can see it as being an extension of the less valuable side - As in, the side with the Kitchen instead of the Living room and such; Think of how it would look on the outside, architecture and window wise

I'll make a corridor to the cathedral.
But I'll seperate it with a "level_wood_double" door, so it won't lag too much.

Thanks for the ideas!
