I spent the better part of the last hour trying to find a fix for this problem thats 3 months old now, haven't found one anywhere, so posting again. Still getting this error and now none of my SSAO window mode edgesmooth fixes work, unless I want to play the game at 640x480.

Have you check the nvidia control panel and made sure you are not forcing any settings?

What sort of settings might I be forcing or should I be looking for?

Maybe fsaa or anything else that has an option to be application controlled or forced. It could also be any sort of setting that does an "optimization" that could cause a problem.

I've been messing with settings the last few days when I have a minute trying to get the game to launch.. to no avail. I'll post a list of the settings I have later, when I have some time, and maybe you can see if any of my settings jump out at you?
