Problem with my driver?

When I try to load the Amnesia Dark descent demo (I loaded it from steam), it gives me this message: "FATAL ERROR: Renderer #0 could not be initialized! Make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date. Check log file for more information."

I am computer illiterate, so I don't know what the heck to do. But if anyone could break it down for me Barney style as to what I need to do I can figure it out. I have an Acer Aspire with an Intel HD video card. I just bought the damn laptop a couple of days ago. I know enough about computers to know that Intel HD video cards aren't that great, but System Requirements Lab said it would work. If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.

Intel HD is below requierments to run the game I am afraid.
