What is missing in amnesia?

I made this thread so everyone tells what they think that is missing in amnesia and hopes to be improved in HPL3. Well this is what I think:

-Monsters are kinda stupid. Needs improved AI.
-New monsters, 3 monsters in the whole game? huhh...
-Exterior levels, that really improves the gameplay.
-Friendly NPCs.
-DMM.
-Soft Bodies and Cloth.

And these are the things that I think that would mostly improve the gameplay. What do you think?

Monsters in Amnesia are stupid solely on the premise that AI is kind of an oxymoron. They mentioned in their blog that they designed monsters around the idea of having them appear and behave stupidly so as not to break immersion for the players.

If you check out their blog they have really cool posts about what they're doing in HPL3. Their animated grass looks really awesome Smile

It'd ruin the immersion, and it would never happen, but some type of co-op could make for some interesting custom stories.

horror and co-op gameplay do not mix in real life though cool in other types of games :/

Definately AI, and making the monsters not disappear when it can't find you, but making it patrol instead.

Some new monsters like you mentioned, maybe 2 more than in Amnesia?

I agree with exterior levels too, but not too many!

No NPC's in my opinion, it makes it more scary to not have anyone by you.

They should also add more hallucinations and random monster encounters. That would be epic Tongue
