Solved: 9 Years, 7 Months, 3 Weeks ago FYI if you're using Ubuntu 12.04 + Unity

I did a clean install of Ubuntu 12.04 and I've always just used Unity; I was playing with Amnesia and performance was very poor. Turns out there's a problem on 12.04 with Unity degrading performance of 3D applications. I switched to the Gnome desktop and all is fine.
