The game freezes and the screen turns white!

Hi,


I recently bought Amnesia: The dark descent. When I started playing I soon realized that the game crashes after about 10 minutes of gaming. The game first freezes. A few seconds later the screen turns black and then white. Now I am able to use the computer as normally, but Amnesia keeps being white. When I click Amnesia with my mouse, Windows says Amnesia has stopped responding, and I am forced to shut down the program. I am using a self built desktop computer with Windows 7 64-bit OS with two screens.


I feel I should mention that I have done a change in the registry on the computer. Since I use a SSD for my OS, I do not wish to store my documents on the SSD. Therefore I have changed the registry destination for my documents from C:\Users\Username to D:\Username. Since the safe-folder is located in my document folder, I thought the changes in the registry might be the reason for the freeze?
