Solved: 8 Years, 8 Months, 4 Weeks ago Rainbow  crashes at inventory

so i have checked the trouble shooting guide...
and i checked the graphics card guide...
and for some reason...
only when i open my inventory or momentos or w/e does it crash. the audio in the bg is still going and what not but the screen just freezes.

desktop win7 ultimate sp1 64bit
amd athlon 64 processor dualcore 3200+ 2.0ghz
3gb ram // amd radeon x1300

p.s.
i have tested turning VSync on and off and 2x/4x/6x, i have tested triple buffering on OpenGL, and have tested turning all gfx options to minimum/detect.

i have checked permissions, patched, reinstalled... i have no idea. im not a guru but im no computer noob so here i am asking for assistance.
