Using mouse get stuck on the floor

Do any other games exhibit this behavior? It almost sounds as if the input is being grabbed or affected by something else.. Usually when I see that it is because I'm using synergy from my Mac box to the linux box.. To fix I simply have to switch the keyboard+mouse directly to the linuxbox instead of going through synergy.

Another possibility is it could be unity messing something up. try disabling compiz and seeing if it works better.
