Lucid dreaming

Well that's interesting. How come your lucid dreams are more frightening than your normal ones? I'm always glad when I manage to get lucid in a dream because then I know nothing is real. I can just fly away from frightening situations or confront them with a clear head if I feel like it - sometimes I can even change the whole scenery at will if I really hate being there. In any case, it means the frightening part of the dream is over...

Imagine yourself in your bedroom really tired because you didn't sleep for more than 24 hours lying in your bed. Then imagine your bedroom starting to move around, shades of people moving around, a necrotic environment coming up and you still in your bedroom, in your bed, without being able to move and having no clue what's going on.
