I think the main difference is that Final Fantasy has a different
storyline each time, and their extensiveness of the variety of ways
which are experimented in the games which do not go in numerical order

Hah, yeah! At least they're doing their best to try and be creative with the franchise, there's no denying that. (I still think they should finally let it die in peace - but that's another topic entirely.) I don't really see the same spirit in series like Battlefield and Call of Duty though...
