Well, he obviously doesn't like Dear Esther so he tried to bash Dan using that game as a reference. Constructive criticism is always desirable, but deliberate low punches such as these are just pathetic.

Honestly, your question to Dan was quite rude and not constructive at all. There was no way to respond adequately due to the way it was formulated: it was obvious that your question was simple provocation. So Dan had two options - to ignore it or to make a non-serious response to a non-serious question. He chose the latter.

I have a question that is not meant to prove any more mini-flame wars: why was the game initially scheduled to be released sometimes around Halloween in 2012 and then delayed to Q2 or Q3 of this year?

I know things happen, but that is a large delay.

It was originally supposed to be something alla justine, but later they changed their mind and decided to go for something more like a full game.

The Q2 and Q3 releases were not release dates either but expectations which are not to be taken as fact.
