I think it's because they're not afraid to kill "center characters", which is pretty unusual within movies/series, unless you are watching a horror-movie whereas

dies first. Following the story you create/build a bond with its characters - suddenly killing them may have an adverse effect as people lose interest invested in the series, which is a risk Game of Thrones is willing to take.

If those reaction videos was related to the gore in the episode then I'm unsure of what to say..

(I know woman get more emotional, but even some of the men were squirming or had horrified faces renewed every 15 seconds.)
