Penumbra Scrolling Graphics Problem

Thanks for the comments, I've tried messing about with all the games' graphics settings, but it only alters the speed of of scroll (which it doesn't affect considerably) ... how would I be able to find my Intel driver version on Jaunty, tried searching everywhere without luck as I bought my laptop with 9.04 already set up
