Falling through the map bugged my save at the very end???

So the pipes are broken etc, but the gate at the end of the ladder has been closed? You can load an earlier save using the main menu and play from there and redo the puzzle.

Yes, the pipes are broken, everything is as it was when you're prompted to escape with the 3 pigmen. Yet there's now a gate atop the ladder, blocking it. I'll try to load it to an earlier point though, I thought the game just went off of a single save (auto or save & exit) and not progressive saves throughout the game.
