Black Plague crashes after intro cutscene

ERROR: World 'level00_01_boat_cabin.dae' doesn't exist
ERROR: Couldn't load map 'level00_01_boat_cabin.dae'

While I don't know much about the contents of the posted log file, the above excerpt would seem to indicate a pretty serious problem. Looking for the above "missing" file on my local system, I find it here:

<Overture Installation Folder>\redist\maps

... along with lots of other level files.

Do you have that file on your system? Barring a better idea, I'd probably try to reinstall the game.

I do have that folder in the Steam files, there isn't any 'boatcabin' file there though, so that could be the problem. I've reinstalled in once before but I'll try again
