Teleporting and dying but actually NOT dying?

a cannonball is touching (hurting) you , the screen goes black , you fall down. and die.. BUT i want to change the death hint ONLY after that shot..... I know the script for death hint.. (but not where to place it)
and not howto do it for 1 level...
