(After searching everywhere on the forum and not finding something which helped me, i decided to open a thread for the problem. If there already is a thread with the same issue, feel free to delete this one)

Sooo, im working on a full conversion mod at the moment and i need to create a logo for my menu. Problem is:

I dont work with programs like Photoshop, Paint or gimp very often so i don't know what to do for making a transparent logo the game will be able to read...
I already tried creating it several times but failed. Is there a tutorial for this? Or any other way you guys can help? I'm using Gimp 2 right now and im totally helpless.
The question that will never be answered:
