Demo not working correctly

I have the same problem, running a X1950XTX
It seems everyone on these series of cards has the same problem.
Turning off imagetrail should get the game running in the game options, (not the launcher options when the game is actually at the menu) but after i encountered another problem. The game freezes when pressing Tab, J, Escape. Making the game unplayable (cant open journal)

So try turning off image trail and see if it works (should) and then help me find a solution to this next problem
