Amnesia: The Dark Desecent Demo Will Not Start

The Ubuntu issue is due to a read/write permission error when installing into /usr/... this is known and has been fixed for the final game. Also have an updated demo but I have not had a chance to upload it yet. You can fix it temporarily by installing into your home instead.

For Windows, there seems to be something wrong with the drivers. If you get the latest drivers from nvidia website, uninstall the old driver, reboot the computer and install the new driver it will probably fix it. It has nothing to do with the version of the driver, rather that something is wrong with it (in the OpenGL department) and doing a re-install should fix it.
