[split] Crash on start

So the same comm room bug happened with the public_beta files as with the regular release, so I went back to the regular release.

This time, I tried taking all of the graphics settings as far down as I could go, and that worked—after the comm room flooded, there was the beginning of the scene where your arms go all monster-y. I then went back to the comm room save, and then set the graphics settings back to the game-recommended levels, and tried again, and then the comm room bug happened again.
