Simon 2 Awakens. *Spoiler*

Simon's vision slowly returned. Perhaps it was the flickering lights, or the faint creaking of nearby pipes that woke him. Simon looked forward from his chair at the empty room before him, it was darker than what he previously remembered.
"Cath-- Catherine, I think something.. went wrong with the scan," he mumbled.
He peered forward in groggy silence as he awaited his companion's reply.
"Catherine," he spoke to the dim lit room. But perhaps she couldn't hear.
"Catherine!" he shot again, this time eyeing the computer that housed the omnitool. He choked, or at least he thought he did when he saw the computer off and the omnitool gone.
"Catherine?!" he yelled, hoping she was somehow present through the intercom system.
"What the fuck?" Simon said to himself, straining to remember the events of past.
"She said... she said I would be scanned, and then be in the suit--" And then what he thought was his heart, leaped from his chest.
"NO!" he cried as he pined over her words: Your scan is a copy of yourself
"CATHERINE!" he shot hopelessly again, into the dark beyond the halls and water soaked walls. He sat back into the scan chair, eyeing the large vaulted door that walled him from the blackness of the ocean.
For what seemed like hours, hopeless silence was suddenly broken by a laugh loud enough it disturbed the broken embodied minds that lurked beyond the dark; their yelled replies joined the fray.
"That lucky mother fucker," he whispered under his breath with a smirk as he reached at the back of his head for the cortex chip. He hesitated for just a moment. "Hah, or maybe not," he spoke as the flickering of the lights blurred into blackness.
