FATAL ERROR: Can not init steam

UPDATE: I re-installed steam and am now able to open the steam copy of Amnesia from steam, but I still get the error if I open it from my computer. It's not that big an issue. Custom stories still don't appear to be working properly though.

ANOTHER UPDATE: I managed to get the CS "The Attic" to work properly but other CS's like "La Caza" and "Followed By Death" don't appear to be working. It's also worthy of mentioning that I didn't have to convert The Attic in RAR converter whatsoever. The other two I do. Am I doing something wrong?
