1920x1080 resolution is askew

Hi there. I have a laptop with a native 1920x1080 screen resolution. When I use the 1920x1080 resolution in the settings launcher and boot into the game the display seems enlarged and I am looking to the left of where the center of the screen should be. When I downgrade to 1600x900 the screen is where it should be (where 1920 should be). I also have this issue on A Machine for Pigs but not SOMA. Any ideas on what I could do? I seem to be unable to attach my Dxdiag file though...
