Runtimer error loading Chancel

First crash I've experienced, and near the end of the game I believe.

Each time I try to enter the Chancel I get the following...

Runtime Error!
This application has requestsed the runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more info.

Sometimes the runtime error message isn't displayed. Instead, the game (I think it's the game anyway) begins running some sort of debugger or error reporter after the crash. This also crashes at 2% complete.

Anyone running into similar issue / know a possible fix?

Tried loading an earlier save, but no luck there.
