Honestly, I had no idea the cabin built by Scott's expedition is still standing today and in pretty good shape... after exactly 100 years.
Also, South Georgia (though not as south as the Antarctic mainland, since it's closer to the Falklands) has a combination of great panoramas and decaying past settlements (mostly old whaling stations and fisheries) :
