Penumbra Requiem-finish level 03, then crash loading level 04

Requiem has a lot more geometry and I believe there were some issues with the older physics engine that caused excessive lag in those LARGE levels on older systems.

As for the crash, can you provide a zipped up copy of the save game file that you load to get that crash? (it'll be in your home folder under Library/Preferences/Frictional Games/Penumbra/Requiem/ )
