Solved: 8 Years, 6 Months, 4 Weeks ago "Could not load main config file" NOT using Steam [SOLVED]

So I saw that there was a similar case on this board that was having the same problem, the only difference being that the user had downloaded their game via Steam while I just did direct download onto my mac.

Now I've played/completed this game already and was even playing it again, so I haven't had problems with it before, but all of a sudden this is popping up. Any ideas? Help is greatly appreciated! <3

(Sorry if another thread about this is taking up space but I didn't want to pour my own problems into that user's thread, you know?)
