Cannot load the game

Yup thats true, updating the audo card driver should be out of the question. And sadly, its a terratec auroeon 5.1 fun or something, im afraid they seem to stopped doing any new drivers. I also tryed to switch to onboard sound, and try it that way, but no luck.

I also already gave the "UseSoundHardware=" change trick a try after i found releated stuff to this, but either way, again not much of a luck.

Also, the game seems to dosnt even being able to create a new settings.cfg. The Episode1 folder in my documents contains only the 2 log files "hpl.log" and "hpl_update.log". (which is empty.) I tryed to copy the default_settings.cfg, which i made the usesound stuff changes in, to the my documents folders and rename it to settings.cfg. But, as expected, again not much of a change.

Ugh, i feel so alone
