Apart from autosave, can I 'save'?

Guess not,.. it save when you touch an artifact and when you see a red flash in the scree and I think it's all.

I agree not having a savegame system is pretty poor. Let's say my friend want to play the game he can't because if he create a new game it would overwrite my saves.
