Yes, the game is very short. Probably that's a marketing ploy, making short, great episodes (with few answers or with no continuity if you play just one episode) creates a fanbase that will buy the next game. In my oppinion I think Penumbra could be one long game.

It *could* be one long game released in three years... way after the fanbase created by the tech-demo dissipates or installments now so we will buy it and stay active on the forums.
