One more thing to check is that the "OpenAL32.dll" and "wrap_oal.dll" exist in the C:\WINDOWS\system32 directory, and that they are the correct versions. Maybe the installer isn't overwriting them? Unlikely, but it's worth a check

(Looks like OpenAL32.dll version should be 6.14.357.19-ish, wrap_oal.dll should be 2.1.4.0)
