Graphics problems on an older laptop...

I recently uploaded the game "Amnesia: The Dark Descent". After waiting forever I was able to open the zip file, decompress it, install the game and everything. Then, when I went to launch the game I got the error message about the embed graphics. There was no download, that I could find, on the Intel website to be able to update my embed graphics. I used the forums posted but they were little- to no help in fixing this problem. I even searched the Dell website to find a graphic update. The second generation updates DO NOT work on my first generation computer...

Info of the Laptop( I got it a year before the second generation crap came out) :
-Windows 7 home Premium
-First generation Intel i3
- 64-bit operating system
the embed graphics are:
v. 2182 ... I do understand that I need to update it, but there's was no update that I could find. Did I just waste my money to buy a game that doesn't work?
