Solved: 8 Years, 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago Sad  Game wont open!

Hello Everyone. I just bought Amnesia off the
website and I downloaded it successfully. For some reason, whenever I
try to launch the game it gives me this message:

"!!!GAME CRASHED!!! READ THIS:
Something is wroooooooong!
If all fails go to http://support.frictionalgames.com/ for more info.

Exception Reason
Amnesia.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module <UNKNOWN> at 001B:00000000"

What does this mean? I tried attaching a photo but it said it was too large. Please help me because I really want to play this game, I've heard a lot of stuff about it. Smile thanks!
