Solved: 8 Years, 2 Months, 1 Week ago !!!GAME CRASHED!!!(Penumbra Black Plague)

!!!GAME CRASHED!!! is the message I get from my computer after I watch the very first video. I bought the Steam package with all 3 games in it and Overture and Requiem run fine. the alert also said
"penumbra.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module
penumbra.exe at 0023:004D408B4"

Can anyone help me the the game running? Any help would be appreciated.
