Weird text on upper left corner

Played the beginning of the game with no problems, but when i went

through the hidden hole in the wall beneath the boxes in refinery

my game fps dropped to very low. I booted the game and tried to continue, but the game gave me somekind of error which said "amnesia.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION". I got past the problem by manually loading a save file and not using continue. However after loading the game theres shitloads of texts in the screen, and every object has these white lines whenever i point my cursor towards them. It seems like its some kind of a game mode meant for game developers, but i have no idea how to turn it off.
