I used the button a few times,for example when I heard the noise of a brute in the choir. Just pressed it to say to myself "okay, you can do it, it's just a game". I'm such a pussy when it comes to horror games (nevertheless a big fan), but also I'm so proud of myself when I played through the part and even more when I managed to get through the howl game. If they would remove this function it would take months for me to beat the game, but for me it doesn't matter if they remove it or not, I'm familiar with the non-existence of the button from dark souls. (ok sometimes I died, because somebody was at the door or my phone rang )
