Wine Cellar Glitch??? HELP please

I was playing it yesterday got past the dreaded water part and into the place with the fountain and corpse in it.

Well I went into the storage cellar, made the hand drill, drilled holes through the primary and secondary VAT and it absolutely will NOT let me use the chemistry pot to collect the water.

I'm serious too, I even went so far as to check out youtube walkthroughs only to find out that I'm doing it right but it's still not working..

So now I can't advance any further into the game and I'm certainly not restarting I refuse to do the water part again. (too scary)

Make sure you're clicking on the hole and not on the ground.
