I know a few of you have been apart of this community for a lot longer than I have, but I find it hard to buy into something when absolutely no information is given. I've played plenty of bad custom stories that some people (even the more respected LPer's on this forum/youtube) have regarded as good, or even great. To be honest, I'm quite hard to impress, I can count on one hand how many custom stories that have been done on the same level as the original game (which is what everyone should be striving to accomplish, right?). When I compare most these custom stories to the original Amnesia game, I cry a little bit. But, I'll give your super big secret - that apparently half the forums knows about yet I have no clue - a chance.
G'day. Kman and I just currently aren't at liberty to hand out spoilers. If you want I can PM you with a display when the project is announced. I appreciate the offer, but I think I'll wait until it is released. Assuming I'll even know what it is when it does get released Don't worry, I can let you know what it is. But here's a hint: It's all Palistov's fault.

My reaction when I see your reaction to my response to your response regarding the fact your assumption that HPL2 has nothing more to offer.

v You really like that parrot, don't you?

...but yeah, I saw they made Tetris in Amnesia recently, so I know HPL2 has got more to offer with the right talent behind it.
First of all, with text alone, a good writer can work wonders.
Second of all, the scripting is basically in C++ with markup support. Adding money, hunger, thirst, psychological states, is no problem, as long as you've got vars.
Third of all, it has deliberate modelling support, and modellers on the forums too.
Fourth of all, A Machine For Pigs will add new official models, and probably new scripts as well.
HPL2 might not have the latest in shaders, but I've yet to see an author reach the limit of perfected environments that didn't end too soon. Sure, there are bad mappers, and there are players who has played stories until all the official models have been burned into their retinas, but that's not the same as reaching the limitations of the engine.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeah. Looks pretty impressive, but I'd be a bit more excited if the game play footage lasted for more than 15 seconds. The ideas going into this seem pretty cool though
