Should I play Dead Space 1 and 2?

How is Dead Space 1 and 2? Should I give it a try?
I guess it's a 100% Cake (Very easy) Game, and maybe not scary as Amnesia!!!

EDIT: I have Dead Space 2...

Yeah, I know. But I still have a ticket It's an old game, but I am still thinking about playing it, and now I having a headache because of thinking oh and, POST FIXED, I have Dead Space 2.. and 1 Also.. So what is your Answer? Yes or no?

Edit: I don't think it's an scary games because I only know that we have weapons in this game, So we can kill monsters or whatever they are but...... I LOVE HORROR GAMES!

Well, do what you want. I personally think first game has a good storyline and managed to create its own universe. Second one is total casual cr*p.

Dead space is not scary at all, but it's a really good game. It's if Resident Evil 4, Doom 3 and System Shock 2 had a threesome. You should check it out.

I also thought dead space was a pretty good game, but it's not very scary, it's panicking but not scary.. You could compare it to a better looking Doom 3 in third-person perspective. I recommend you playing it for the action bit which is the game's main focus.

Dead Space 2 is Dead Space but better.

I loved the games, they relied a lot on shockers yes, but still it was good. And if not for the scares, Dead Space 2 has much more action and awesome scenes, I'd highly recommend it.

One thing I'd like to get off my chest though... They introduced the Necromorphs way too fast in Dead Space 1... I would've loved it if you came on that ship and got confused by what has happened. Slowly you investigate and tiny bits of evidence come up, and by the time you discover what is happening, thén make hell break loose!

The Dead Space games are not survival horror, they are action horror, like the newer Resident Evil games and Cryostasis. Every single scare tactic is cheap and forgettable. The only thing that Dead Space is good for is the shooting and backstory/world building. Dead Space 2 is basically the same except with all of the fat trimmed. The horror, narrative, and pacing are all fairly cheaper, but the shooting and setting are both fucking incredible.
