Hey guys

Hmm I am going to ask for all the comunity for some help in this:

Life Lender is a very promising story in my oppinion... but this in a way will be actulay my first "scary" custom story... so...i need some help in the scare factor Tongue

yes i do have some scares of my own but i realy do want to make this custom story has scary as possible! i mean real horrifing sensations like for exaple walking in a dark corridor until you suddenly hear a baby crying a few meters away in a room on the other side of a wall... i don't want this to be just scary.... i want this to $%& depress you! I want you to be "eaten" by the depressing and horrible atmosphere.
like i want to make the less scared person in this forum to scream like a girl for the first time in his life! i want to make people actualy fear quit the game! and to the ones that didn't quit... make them pass trough the most hellish and distorbing nightmare they will ever see in an amnesia custom story (yeah i know this is sounding too epic to actualy be done). this what i want to show you guys wend Life Lender is done... can some one help me do this whit some advices or poiting out great games/movies/books to check out?

Whoa... You are sure aiming high!
Few thoughts of mine that might prove useful though:
Less can be more! (reading that post made me feel you want to disturb the player constantly with gore and scares)
Give the player a feeling he cant know whats coming next, (show you can do whatever you want with the engine right off the bat or something...)

Play nepsis and take some notes from what it does to scare you, Because that's by far the scariest custom story I've played.

Well I guess horror experiences are very personal stuff... That sound of a baby just hurts my ears and makes me annoyed :u

But you are on the right track about that whole idea! Better cry sample + little editing perhaps and it could sound scarier or something. One light in the darkness used sounds very well in the first maps!
