So I've been working on this project for two months now and now the chapter one is finally released and ready for download.

-Six detailed levels
-2000 lines of script
-Voice acting
-Loading screen pictures
-Some puzzles (not too hard)
Suppoted language: English
Esimated playtime: 45 minutes
Newst version of Amnesia is recommended (Justine)

water part - was excellent scary, every time i dies, then every time monster resurrect, damn was scary.

Thanks for the awesome feedback. And yes it was my voice you heard. I only had one problem that I voice acted two different characters. But I do get more voice actors in the future releases.

Okay, I'll try to review this with as much honesty as possible. (Just to let you know) The original demo of Followed By Death is still one of my favourite custom stories of all time (my friends seem to love it too and it has been called "one of the more entertaining custom stories"), so I obviously have a lot that I'm expecting from part 1. Now here are the good and the bad things:




+ You changed some of the parts from the original demo, good idea!
+ You included flashbacks, those are always great.
+ The story is pretty good and interesting.
+ Some pretty good scares, especially during the earlier game.
+ I'm not a fan of water parts but that was still creepy.
+ Really good atmosphere in the castle, also great zone.
+ Self-made loading screens, really good job with those.



- Voice acting needs A LOT of work (to be honest), it just didn't seem menacing or creepy at all but rather like those voices were just quickly recorded for the game without much interest.
- I found three bugs: transparent walls in Machinery and the secret path that is opened soon after; no voice acting few minutes before water part (while descending down the stairs), the text is still shown.
- Characters were good but they didn't reach their full potential.







All in all, this mod was really good. I'm hoping for better voice acting and fixing of few bugs, but other than that it was great. The early parts of the game are still some of my favourite moments in the history of Amnesia custom maps!

Thank you for making so detailed review! English is not our home language so I understand really well if you found the voice acting little dull (It took me maybe 10-20 takes to get something I was happy with). I know I didn't show too much personality in these character but I do try to make them more intresting in the next chapter.

I'm honestly confused. Right after the first scene in the home where the Brute attacks, it takes me to La Caza... Is this intentional, or some weird glitch that caused me to teleport between games? Do note that none of the letters had any dialogue on them and mementos were also blank.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Haven't finished it yet, but love it so far! This is on top of all the custom stories I've tried so far. I love how you used the flashbacks, have NEVER seen them in any other custom stories. I think those flashbacks REALLY improves the atmosphere.

There are downsides too, tho. The voice acting was a little dull. Voice was great, but there were no emotions in the voice. Still can't compete with main story, but what custom story can?
