But to answer, I'm not sure if it will work but it might. Though I know right now that it has to be a conversion mod. When you have the lantern and pick up the flashlight, maybe script to remove the lantern from your inventory when you interact with the flashlight, therefore it switches out. But again... I don't think it's going to work.

Probably =\ Experiment with it! unless you don't intend to make a conversion.

A full conversion is indeed required for a flashlight.

I do not think it's possible.

The "Amnesia - The Dark Descent\redist\models\hand_objects\lantern\lantern.ho" points to which file to use.

Experiments should be started there. Perhaps adding a new line pointing to the second model could do something. I doubt it though.

I Just Tried And it removed the Lantern but When I turned the "Flashlight" on it was still the lantern. so Maybe a total conversion maybe able to do it. but Not Just a normal Amnesia Custom Story.
