3DS MAX 2010 Help

3DS MAX 2010 won't let me import and export DAE files, even with OpenCOLLADA installed. Could someone help?

Help? I sort of planned a new monster (re-using an Amnesia entity) and I need to animate it Tongue

Also, Happy 600th post to me Big Grin

Does it say anything (error etc.) when you try to export/import? Or don't you see .DAE in the list of filetypes when exporting? See if you've installed it in the correct folder, 3ds Max comes with both a 32-bit and 64-bit version.

Well, this is odd.
I went to try again today, and it turns out that 3DS Max was using the Autodesk Collada instead of OpenCOLLADA to import and export. Now, I'm not sure if it's normal, but when I go to load animation, it only gives me the option to load XML animations, and not .ani files like Amnesia uses.

Also, I can't save my animations after creating it.

Never mind guys, I got it. I am only in the process of making the animations, so hopefully I'll be able to be done soon (about 1 animation per 2 hours or so, so if I spent an entire day just making animations, I could probably finish all the animations in about 2 days or so.)

Cool. I know this is totally unrelated but since you're using 3ds Max 2010 also, do you have any problems running the map editor or game itself? Whenever I have 3ds Max running in the background the game and editor will not work or return weird fatal errors. When I close 3ds Max everything works fine again, it's kinda annoying because rebooting 3ds Max takes a lot of time.
