Custom Story Problems

I recently just bought AND beat Amnesia, and I bought it from the Frictional Games store, I didn't even know Steam existed at that time, and I thought it wouldn't matter. But now, I've beat the game, and I can't do anything, I know where to download custom stories, but have no clue how to install them, because I don't have the Steam option, and even when I add Amnesia to the game list, it doesn't help. Please help me. This game is one of the best and I do not want $20 worth of greatness sit there un-played. I just really want to be able to play custom stories, without buying it again on Steam, please help me. BTW I'm on a Windows7. Basically, all I want to know, is there a way to install custom stories without Steam on Windows?

Put them in Program Files/Amnesia/redist/custom_stories

Then reopen the game and it should appear on the "custom story" list.

Should I do anything to them with winRAR?

you should extract the files first, and then put them into your custom_story folder. not sure if .rar files run properly from inside the game.

I recently got a new computer. The main game works fine, but I am having trouble downloading custom stories. I have downloaded custom stories before, but for some reason I am having trouble downloading them on my new computer. And normally I just drag and drop the custom story to the custom story file, but its not coming up like that and even if I put the story in the right file it does not show up when I open the game to play it, only the main game is available to play. HELP!
