I also don't care if the next Amnesia focuses on Daniel, because that story arc had a closure. All I want to do is basically to hide from monsters and be scared.
Well it pretty much makes the title false which bugs me.
If you're just wondering about whether AMFP will feature amnesia or not, then the creator has already answered that within the story description:
Spoiler below!
It will.
Well alright then, I officially have no reason to complain (or worry). Hope they do a good job with it.
From memory HPL3 is still under development. It would make sense that we will have HPL2 for A machine for Pigs, and then HPL3 for whatever comes next (here's hoping there is a next, FG rocks ). It's not an unreasonable assumption that custom stories will be an option again, as FG love the added 'replay value' it gives their games. If I had to guess, the only differences between The Dark Descent and A Machine for Pigs will be added/changed textures models etc. I sure hope so, I love making custom stories, and I don't want to have to re-learn everything.

While I too wouldn't mind if it weren't as outright terrifying. I suggest you take a look at Korsakovia. It was a free HL2 they did before the Dear Esther remake. It is pretty terrifying. It's rough around the edges and recent source engine updates cause it to crash. But it was very interesting and effective.
