RE: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Discussion
If it is actually the monster we're looking at.
Since it is just too dark and blurred.
I don't get how you would spoiler anything as most of us broke this video down frame by frame.

RE: Amnesia A Machine for Pigs sound design
3D sound positioning essentially means placing a sound in a 3D rendered environment (laymans terms - a sound in a game). Although I've finished my work on Pigs and now work for the audio team at EA DICE, but I keep up with development on Pigs as much as possible and it's looking/sounding absolutely fantastic!

It's awesome that you're posting here. I really enjoyed the soundscape in Dear Esther, especially in the caves. Glad to see you're working on this project as well. That's cool, for any of you who are interested I highly suggest you check out Jess's work on Korsakovia and Esther, or visit her site http://www.jessicacurry.co.uk . She is one of the most talented and unique sounding composers around today. We've already heard some of the stuff for pigs, and trust me, not only is some of it horribly scary and fear enducing. There are some musically stunning tracks in there. Dear Esthers soundtrack made me cry, it was so beautiful. I can't wait to here what she's composed for AMFP.

RE: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Discussion
I've just watched the trailer again in slow motion and the part in question (with the "square head") could very well be the mechanical pig line rail-thing in action. That is, the rail along which the large hooks move, carrying the pigs. The audio seems to indicate that machinery is in motion at this moment, and that perhaps a metal doorway is being slid open/closed. That would explain the fluidity of motion and the squareness of the top part.

Or you could just be seeing shapes that aren't actually there.

I'd make one for you, but I don't have the tools to make a .gif image.
