Words cannot describe how false this is.

Kman is correct. Complete darkness will become monotonous and boring - same thing with complete light. There has to be a balance/contrast between the two in order to create a truly horrifying environment.

I rate it 3 memes.

Example of this, which of these two do you think looks scarier/is more atmosphere?
Spoiler below!

And astrophysics, quantum mechanics, string theory etc. are also not fact, it is more speculation and opinion.

Did you read the blog now? Then you understand (I hope).

I just saw him as someone who doesn't post much stuff other than making threads to show us some interesting games. He kinda seemed like those respected members of a forum to me when I was "young" in this stink hole that I love so much. Now Googol seems just like a regular twat. Fact of which hasn't really sunk in to me really.

I never was one of the guys you remember when you was young and I don't like that when newbies ruin the good old forums.
Of course, more newbies are good for Frictional's success, but this will often cause to an user fight. Because newbies first need to learn about gamedesign ideology before playing this unique Amnesia as some standard game.

If you have to learn about game design to appreciate a game, then the developers did a poor job making it. Luckily this isn't the case for Amnesia and yet again you're just stating your opinion as fact.

When I played the game, I almost never used the lantern (the idea of being a moving light source was a bit too unsettling at the time), but I couldn't get enough tinderboxes.

I think it's always nice to have some variety and give the players freedom (and thus responsibility) in deciding how to spend resources. There is more uncertainty that way.

My patience for this argument is wearing rather thin. Do you really not understand what my point is? I know* Frictional are not going out of business, I just strongly disagree with the way you say it with absolute certainty. You do not represent Frictional, so you are absolutely not qualified to make a statement like that. By the way, all of those fields have been tried via the scientific method and are thus accepted as fact for the time being. Einsten's theory of general relativity and Newton's laws of motion for example are also not provable but they are considered facts because they are consistent with what we can observe and other theories (such as quantum theory) have been developed as a direct (and indirect) consequence of them.

What, you might ask, is the difference between something so developed as quantum theory and your statement? Well, the people that developed quantum theory (and still are) were actually fucking privy to what was going on at all times. In other words, not making guarantees based on old information and "logics". Show me a copy of Frictional's year end account and I will grant you the privilege of assuring others they have enough money to keep AMFP in production. Until then, you are just not qualified. I'm sorry.

* I said know to retain the rhythm of that particular statement, but I would be a huge hypocrite if I claimed to know anything while challenging your earlier statement.

Ok the thing of you being a twat just sunk in. First off. how the fuck do you compare your opinion to the strongest theory ever made by man that has been studied over and over again by various specialists? How do you have the bravery to compare yourself to quantum mechanics?!

"I never was one of the guys you remember when you was young"

Secondly... (Ignoring the grammar and trying to understand what you are saying) How do you know that? How do you fucking know what you looked like to me when I joined the forum? Ya don't. So shut up.

"I don't like that when newbies ruin the good old forums."
Ok... Can you explain to me, Danny Boy the "ex-newbie" how did I ruined the forum? oh because I need to understand the "gamedesign ideology before playing this unique Amnesia"? No you fucking idiot! I need to have money to buy it on steam and need to have will to play it! Thats fucking it. You now just sounded like those political Parties that say that gay marriage will destroy the fabric of society whiteout giving any valid reason to why that is.

And also I don't understand on how not fully understanding some design choices of the game have any influence on the forum! What have I done to be considered one of those "newbs" that you don't like? I made Dark Room and that some how turned into the Jump scare abominations that decent people hate? No! Is it because I do not like your egocentric arguments? Probably! But that again does not explain what the fuck my knowledge on the game has anything to do whit this.

If you don't mind. I request to you a more elaborate, and thought out explanation of what your points are. Or you might look like an idiot if you don't. Again.
