Not a good way to sell it at all, and it was the same with Dead Space 3 and its demo, it's just showing more of the same in a slightly different way. How do they expect to market it successfully that way? I don't get it, I guess some people are comfortable with more of the same...Undecided

Yes, Slender: The Arrival is going to have a storyline. They are also adding in other one or more creepy pastas to it. I don't know how they are going to pull it off, but the trailer looked promising. I don't think I'm going to get it though, unless it will be sold on Steam and goes on sale for $2.

It turned out to be longer and bigger.
I would say 1.5/2x longer and 3x bigger.
Any idea how much Vram this will take maps + 12MP I will be fine as I tested with TDD and didn't go over 1100MB with everything maxed 16xaa 128 SSAO samples 3000x2000 (6 MP).
I think it will take up a maximum of 2GB of vram which is 1/3 of what I will have Big Grin (goodbye my beloved gtx570)

Can I ask, why do you need such such a massive resolution? And SSAO is worthless.
I'm still using my good old ENGTX460 and 1920x1080.

Someone (I'm horrible at names, sorry) who's working with the game said that it's gonna be removed in an interview.

Quote: You often say that A Machine for Pigs is thechineseroom take on the world of Amnesia. What are the most significant differences in gameplay mechanics between the two games?

I'd say it is a bit more streamlined. There will be no inventory for instance, which makes the puzzles handled a bit differently.

I can't completely remember because I saw that one also and I believe they said they were going to make it were you didn't use it as much. (Don't quote me on that.)

It's a Slenderman clone with better graphics. Apparently made by the same people who made the original.

I mean, I love the execution of it, but it's still the same game. Plus it will cost money. Not a good selling point IMO.

It's made by the original guy along with a new studio. And, the beta is just the same game, but remade. Because they're avoiding spoiling it. But they've already shown new content in the trailer and have said in interviews that the full game will go beyond collecting pages. It has a full story, more varied gameplay and more than just the slender man.

Oh? I didn't know that System Shock 2 went off sale for a while. Why did they do that?

For a while? It's been many years since anybody could buy the game :p. The rights to the game were tangled up in an incredibly complicated legal mess, but some studio recently was able to get the rights to re-distribute the game on gog.com.

This is kind of incredibly big news for classic video games, as system shock 2 was one of the most innovative games of its time. It was the first to allow people move the mouse with free range, interact with objects in such a way, and a real upgrade system for your character. Most big games today like borderlands, mass effect, fallout, etc. are heavily influenced by it. The bioshock series is considered to be its spiritual successor.
