Mr. Mandus is kidnapping children from the street, butchering them and making food out of them. Only to feed the other starving children.. Just like pigs in the farm. YES I KNOW, ITS A DISTURBING THOUGHT. but we are talking about Amnesia here

My thaughts are exactly the same!

Lets talk more about the Letter's deeper meaning.

"...Too see a starveling so ROSY-CHEEKED and WELL-FATTENED..."

sounds a little bit like... how a child-eating Witch is talking about her growing "food" ;-)


Also Mandus was in Mexico and perhaps learned things about the human-slaughter/blood sacrifices from the aztecs cult - for getting much power (the paranormal is reality in Amnesia)

Look at the "Pig-Church" and whereon the pig-cruzifix stands = an aztec cult statue-like pedestal!

Nice catch, but that's concept art...it might not actually be in the actual game. These were released around the time when they weren't exactly going for a full-fledged, all-out sequel to TDD yet. Things may have changed substantially

It's not just concept art, this "pig-church" level was shown in first teaser and there's a screenshot of it in Wesley Tack's website. Yes, they MIGHT have removed this level, but i highly doubt that.

I'm guessing the sausage the children ate was not made out out of pig, but human meat, or possibly a combination of both.
