RE: 2007-09 Thursday 13th, Penumbra: Black Plague to be published worldwide Q1 2008

The way I see it, 2 is better than nothing, and an ending is better than no ending. Disappointing still, but I often wondered how a trilogy would work. but at least the ending will be done.
I just hope it is has good or better than the first.
and I think you answered this, but is this longer than the first? still $19.99 or more? don't know yet?
one last thing, PLEASE don't forget the linux users.

one last one, for now anyway, the story line is coming from you right? it's not going to be a totally different sort of game with all new stuff.
For example: I'm not sure how many know Descent. Descent started with Parallax and Interplay, and by the third, they had Interplay, Outrage, Tantrum, maybe something else.
Descent 4 was going to be made, but instead, something happened with the companies, some going to THQ, or whatever else, and made Red Faction. "Some" will consider Red Faction as the last Descent game, which makes no sense.
Now I know it won't be that far off, but (maybe I trapped myself here, don't know how to explain this), it won't be "too" different, right?

I got question! If we raise questions now are they still answered in Black Plague?

What is the full name by the way? I hope that there reads the Episode Two in some place! Smile

NOOOOOOO!! I was looking forward for the next 2 episodes! AAaaww...But.. You didn't know what to happen in the next episodes? That's how i sawed it, so you made the first episode without knowing what to do in the next?

Or was the next two episodes too much work to do? However, i'm looking forward to this because it's penumbra overture, but it would be ALOT better if you sticked to the 2 episodes.

YEAH!
Black Plauge really is a great name, gives some idea of what the game will be about, too.
My bets are on a ResidentEvil-class secret lab and a lot of wricked SilentHill-imported ghosts. That guy in the fz screenie looks like a grey though, but on the other hand it looks like he was a sausage Smile Grays don't have sausages.
Although I'm not over my ears with joy and that fz screenshot looks really last-gen I think this can be among the best Swedish-made games ever.

Worst regards, Kejdane.

Oh that's terrible news. To announce the game as a trilogy, then announce it will no longer be a trilogy, maybe the story and build up will suffer because of it ? Surely the story of the second and third game (If the story was already written for 3 games) will be chopped and squashed into a single game ?

I really hope you can pull it off, it would be a bummer if the story got messed up because it had to be modified for 2 game releases instead of 3.

I also hope you will use the engine to make more PC releases, looking forward to your future projects.

it'd be great if they did pull it off well. but like I said, it's better than saying there's another one coming, and then nothing happens, like Descent 4.

Yup. We can only hope Black Plague will be worth of those two episodes planned earlier.
